Head of IT – West Sussex £600 – £700 per day INSIDE IR35/West Sussex, Hybrid (2 to 3 days per week in the office) 3 to 6 months rolling. A small professional service organisation seek an interim Head of IT, with the view to potentially moving into the role on a Full time basis, to oversee all IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, cloud services, business apps and Cyber Security. As the Head of IT, you will lead, mentor and develop an experienced IT team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement. Core duties for the Head of IT position: Manage IT budgets, supplier relationships, and technology investments to maximize ROI. Lead digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology. Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks and policy, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Head of IT is responsible for leading a small, highly effective IT team to deliver two things; seamless day-to-day operation in an efficient and cost-effective manner and a digital transformation program aligned with the companies strategic objectives. This includes overseeing the maintenance and support of existing systems, managing IT service delivery, and ensuring the reliability and performance of IT infrastructure. The transformation will overhaul Legacy systems and infrastructure, identify the optimal operating model to enhance scalability and agility, improve business efficiency, maintain a secure operational environment, and create more streamlined ways of working. Additional information for the Head of IT role: The Head of IT will lead stakeholder engagement and change management to ensure the IT roadmap is delivered on time and within budget. This role will champion the adoption of new technologies to keep the division competitive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This role requires a proactive, commercially aware IT professional who excels at balancing hands-on technical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations with strategic planning. The ideal candidate is a functional expert with proven experience in systems implementation, IT infrastructure, networking, and security, management of IT investment and capable of managing multi-disciplinary technical teams, both internal and external. They are able to navigate complex challenges with clarity and decisiveness, demonstrating efficient problem-solving and decision making. The Head of IT must be pragmatic and innovative in their approach to compliance and risk management, delivering robust, secure, and cost-effective systems that enhance the overall user experience. They should have the ability to bring digital transformation to life for key stakeholders, simplifying technical concepts to drive engagement and buy-in for the IT roadmap.
