Communications Manager – Worthing/Hybrid £400 – £500 per day Outside IR35 – 6 months rolling – Worthing, with hybrid working available Sector: Utilities/Infrastructure/Energy About the Communications Manager role: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to lead internal communications across two major transformation programmes within our organisation. This role is pivotal in driving engagement, managing change communications, and ensuring consistent messaging across teams and stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing SharePoint sites, producing high-impact weekly and monthly newsletters, and coordinating communications strategies that support programme delivery and cultural change. Key Responsibilities for the Communications Manager role: SharePoint Management: Own and maintain internal SharePoint sites, ensuring content is up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with programme goals. Newsletter Creation: Design and distribute weekly and monthly newsletters that inform, inspire, and connect employees across the business. Programme Communications: Act as the central point of contact for communications between two large-scale programmes, ensuring alignment and clarity. Change Management: Develop and deliver communications that support change initiatives, helping teams navigate transitions smoothly. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with programme leads, HR, IT, and other departments to ensure communication strategies meet business needs. Content Development: Create compelling written, visual, and digital content tailored to diverse audiences. Measurement & Reporting: Track engagement metrics and continuously improve communication effectiveness. Requirements for the Communications Manager role: Proven experience in internal communications, ideally within a utilities, infrastructure, or regulated industry. Strong proficiency in SharePoint site management and content creation. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Demonstrated success in supporting change programmes through strategic communications. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work across complex programme environments. Experience with digital communication tools and platforms. Relevant qualifications in communications, marketing, or change management (eg, Prosci, CIPR) are desirable.
