A leading London based global financial service company seek a hungry, keen to learn and develop Trainee Desktop Support Analyst / Junior Technical Support Engineer to provide support of their Desktop Infrastructure & related technologies. You will look to enhance and develop the existing infrastructure providing a proactive approach to support and the successful implementation of new systems and services.
Core skills required for the Trainee Desktop Support Analyst / Junior Technical Support Engineer:
- Understanding of technical support.
Any basic understanding (be it through education, certification or on the job) within any of the following is a bonus, but not essential:
- O365 / Office365 experience.
- Skype for Business – support and maintenance.
- Breakfix support.
- Escalation and timely resolution of Incident/Problems/Requests.
- IT and Network security.
- LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
- EMEA Remote Support.
- Support of standard/third party desktop software.
- Problem management.
- Laptop Build and enhancements.
- Software upgrades.
- IP Telephony.
- AV Support, Video Conference etc.
Personal attributes required for the Trainee Desktop Support Analyst / Junior Technical Support Engineer – these are more important than technical knowledge:
- Must be customer facing, with experience of customer service (does not have to be IT related).
- Proactive attitude.
- Keen to learn.
- Hungry to progress and impress.
- Strong communication skills.
