OT Network Engineer/Edge Compute Engineer – Worthing/Hybrid £550 – £600 Outside IR35 – 6 months rolling – based in Worthing, although the role is hybrid working A leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced OT (Operational Technology) Network Engineer/Edge Compute Engineer to design and deliver resilient OT LAN backbone and Edge Compute connectivity. You will also be responsible for ensuring high availability and deterministic recovery for critical sites. Key Skills/Experience for the OT Network Engineer/Edge Compute Engineer role: Ideally OT networking background eg Cisco IE/Stratix. REP, MEC/vPC, and Layer 2/3 resilience design. Edge Compute networking (Nutanix AHV/Flow, VMware NSX, hyperconverged platforms). Firewall uplinks, dual-homing, and segmentation gateways. IEC 62443 and Purdue/zone-conduit models. Deliverables for the OT Network Engineer/Edge Compute Engineer role: High-Level Designs (HLD) for backbone and Edge integration. Low-Level Designs (LLD) and build guides (switch configs, port layouts). Testing plans for REP, MEC, convergence and failover. Support for site migrations and cut-in.
