Operational Technology/OT Business Analyst – Worthing/Remote/WFH 3 to 6 months rolling contract/£475 per day (OUTSIDE IR35)/based in Worthing, but mainly remote My client, a leading technology strong professional services, is looking for an experienced Business Analyst specifically with Operational Technology/OT project experience, to join their team and work alongside Project Managers and their IT teams/business teams to ensure accurate information is translated into implemented systems. Although the requirement will be working in specific areas, we still require a strong all-round Operational Technology/OT Business Analyst and if you come from the ISEB/BCS certification route, that is a bonus. In addition, the Operational Technology/OT Business Analyst will: The BA will be tasked with the business wide implementation of Operational Technology/OT project works. Play a major role in analysing, configuring, testing and implementing the technical aspects of Operational Technology/OT systems and tools. Advise Senior Management. Assist in creating Operational Technology/OT solutions. Assist in testing IT systems. Provide staff training of the systems implemented. Key roles and responsibilities for the Operational Technology/OT Business Analyst position: Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, user stories scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Provide staff training of the Operational Technology/OT systems implemented. Further roles and responsibilities for the Operational Technology/OT Business Analyst position: Develop requirements specifications according to business standards, using natural and clear language. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs. Be the business analysis liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. Undertaking data analysis as required by the role. Undertake strategy analysis, produce business cases, business process models, business systems models. Produce and review data models. Additional requirements for the Operational Technology/OT Business Analyst: Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A certificate in business analysis practice eg BCS/ISEB/CPAB certified. A working knowledge of Operational Technology/OT systems and technology. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent. Demonstrable experience in business analysis, applying business analysis tools/method/techniques. Extensive experience of successful business process re-design, analysis, definition and documentation (eg UML, BPMN, EPC). Breadth and depth of expertise in business process improvement within complex environments. Extensive experience of designing and applying business improvement methods and techniques.
